Very self-indulgent treats
Is it just me, or does the festive season always get you doing that thing where you head out with all good intentions to buy something for your friends and fam, and then something catches your eye which is that perfect piece you’ve been looking for all season and then by chance it just happens to fall into your shopping cart? Well, this season I’ve decided to pre-empt this little annual occurrence by admitting early on that it’s part and parcel of my gifting season, so I’ve made a few on trend self-indulgent picks via Very.co.uk which won’t break the bank, but will definitely sort my gifting-to-myself habit along the way.
When it comes to treating myself, my first port of call is normally accessories – think snazzy shoes, swiftly followed by beautiful bags. These are the closet game changers which can perk up a party outfit from ‘meh’ to ‘schamazing’ and this season I’m all over anything glittery, velvet, feathered or fringed; here are some of the high street heroes which I’ve got my eye on…
Clockwise from top left: Little Mistress feather ankle boot, Little Mistress feather heels, Fearne Cotton suede heels, Little Mistress lace ankle boots, Shoe Box faux fur trim block heels, Little Mistress embellished T-bar heels, Paper Dolls velvet sandal, Shoe Box Pascale point court, River Island caged sandal, Little Mistress glitter ankle boot,
A festive outfit is certainly not complete without a super sparkly bag to throw all your essentials into – check out my top party bag picks…
Clockwise from top left: Feather envelope clutch bag, Pinko jewelled clutch bag, Pinko crystal embellished square clutch, Fluffy feather bag, Oasis glitter clutch bag, Tassel and chainmail party bag, Structured jewel embellished bling clutch.
Surviving the onslaught of Christmas is all about taking a little time out and treating yourself too. For me, that means indulging in some of my fave beauty and home scent buys to serve up the perfect antidote to the madness of the season…
Clockwise from top left: Molton Brown gift set, Elizabeth Arden Red Door lipstick, Clinique All About Eyes, The Indulgence Collection Pamper kit, Found Goods Market candle, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream lip protectant, La Prairie peel.
So that’s it! I give you full permission to stick with the one-for-them-one-for-me gifting ethos… mostly because you can be safe in the knowledge that I will certainly be doing it myself!
