What to Wear this Weekend…. blue edit

I’ve always been a bit of a fan of House of Fraser, ever since my mum had a Fraser Card and used to drag me around Cardiff trying to find clothes. It was that usual clash of generations, she was looking for good quality at a sensible price (which I saw as dull), whilst I was craving on-trend and cool (which she saw as trashy). Our perfect compromise was all under one roof at House of Fraser, where I could get my totally cool ‘this season’ pieces, which were great brands that she actually approved of, and was happy to flex that magical plastic card on.

Fast forward a few years and it’s still one of my ports of call when I’m working with someone for a personal shop. In my local store I can snag brands like The Kooples, Joseph, Karen Millen and Whistles without breaking a sweat.

So choosing just from House of Fraser Women’s Wear, I’ve come up with this cool blue edit for the weekend which you could rock on anything from a shopping trip with your gal pals, to supper with him indoors or cocktails with your crowd.

Navy is set to be huge this season and it’s a much more flattering neutral hue than dull old black. Like it’s neutral co-horts in the colour wheel, it’s slimming when worn head to toe and acts as the perfect foil to splash a pop of colour against. Factor in some statement heels and a little metallic, and you have a bunch of A/W13 looks nailed.
