Prompted by my upcoming flit to the The Hamptons next week, I’ve been on the hunt for a beach bag which will double up as a travel tote.
Yes, I’ve got a gazillion leather slouchy bags that would do the trick, but for me The Hamptons conjures up images of gamine Gwyneth Paltrow types wafting along the shoreline in their gingham retro shorts and oversized cotton popover shirts.
When our heroine heads to the market after her Tracy Anderson workout to buy some fresh organic kale for lunch, she doesn’t tote a big old Prada handbag around. No, she has a beautifully crafted artisan vibe bag nestled in the crook of her elbow just so, as she strolls the local East Hamptons neighborhood…flanked by bodyguards ‘natch!
