Wednesday’s Wish List…Charlotte Olympia statement clutch

I popped into the Charlotte Olympia event last week and, as expected, was blown away by her zany creations for the upcoming Resort 14 season.

I’m a big fan of any statement clutch these days. Let’s face it the oversized envelope clutch is a keeper thanks to it’s roomy storage capacity and it’s ability to add a splash of interest to an outfit. The box clutch is perfect for a girls night out, as all you really need is your phone, some cash and a lippy. Whilst the pouch clutch allows plenty of space on its surface to tout a quirky message or embellishment to show off your individual expression of style.

But when it comes to the novelty clutch, you can’t touch Charlotte Olympia for ‘out there’ innovation and hilarious creative style. Here are a few on my wish list from the Resort 14 collection.

First up are these dial detail bags, which have an old world Hollywood glamour feel about them. Dial Pandora Operator Chatterbox

I’m also loving these Ring Ring! oval clutch bags made out of kidskin and phone wire…how’s that for resourcefulness?

Next on my wish list are the Sweet Talk inspired pieces. I’m always a fan of anything retro – and these had me pining back to the days when I got my kicks out of a visit to the sweetie shop and not Selfridges or Matches. These vinyl clutch bags are a blast and certain to cause a spin when you step out with one.

I also love the vibrance of this Jukebox clutch with a detachable strap. clutch in suede and patent

But my all out favourite were these comic strip clutches with Archie or Betty & Veronica embroidery – love, love, love!

The collections should hit stores from October – so mark your calenders and start that hit list right now.
