I’m a sucker for any kind of coat, but with the prospect of so many covetable coats landing in store this month, I’m hankering for an overcoat in a good old fashioned blokes cut.
Yes I’ve peeked at the oversized numbers which are filling magazine column inches. But frankly weighing in at only 5’3″ I could quite easily pop on a coat from my teen son’s collection and quite happily have that whole oversized trend licked.
So here’s my wish list of divine dude like coats.
First up has got to be this delicious double breasted calf hair-trimmed baby from Victoria Beckham. Proper lustworthy cobalt blue colouring along with bang on trend tweed, but sadly at a whopping £3k+ slightly out of the common or garden ball park…but hey, this is a wish list so it’s staying.
On a more sensibly priced level Karen Millen has come up with this tweed and snakeprint sleeve piece, which is definitely hitting the right style notes for the season and a much more affordable £275
You can’t get anymore manly than a bit of pinstripe. I’m loving this Stella McCartney double breasted coat. Perfect for pairing with simple black basics for the office.
