Wide leg pants … what’s the scoop?
There’s nothing like a fab fluid pair of pants for your resort wear closet. I’ve been a fan of palazzo pants for years, but since I found these wide leg pants from Intermix a few seasons ago, my summer wardrobe has been complete. This season I’ve found similar ones from Saloni at Matches Fashion which are pretty damn perfect too.
With the summer season about to officially start, you wouldn’t go far wrong by adding a pair of these babies to your wardrobe armoury. Look for silks, lightweight cottons or linens to ensure that when the heat rises you stay cool. Pair with other summer classics like nautical stripes or florals to give the look the full-on breezy summer vibe.
It’s fair to say I’m on the shorter end of the height spectrum, but that doesn’t mean a pair of well fitting (and hemmed) wide leg pants are off the agenda. You pretty much have to make the decision whether you are going to work these with flats or heels, and then get them hemmed to suit your decision. There’s nothing worse than seeing a gaping ankle space when someone with wide leg pants hemmed to fit with flats suddenly throws them on with heels – ugh!
