Winter brights… what’s the scoop?

Winter doesn’t have to be all about dull old neutrals. If you’ve been following the fash press you might have spotted that pastels, winter florals and whacky winter brights are about to become our new best friends. I’m not averse to colour at the best of times, but throwing a bit of a perky hue into the style mix mid winter is definitely something I’m willing to consider.
When it comes to picking a winter bright to work into your wardrobe this season, you need to consider your bodyshape. A bright colour brings attention to whichever bit you are wearing it on. For me, my upper body is slightly bigger than the lower half so to balance my bodyshape out, it’s a good call for me to wear my winter brights on the lower half.
I’ve got a bit of a yen for orange this season, so this awesome Cos front zip wool skirt caught my eye straight off. I paired it with this Whistles slogan sweater which has since sold out – but there are a bunch of similar ones available here.
Continuing the neutral theme, I threw on this sumptuous L.K. Bennett wrap – which is deliciously snuggly and served me well on a few flights of late.
The bag is from Joseph but there is a very similar Tamara Mellon one right here. The sunnies are from Whistles, beaded bangles from Sisco & Berluti, and heels are Kurt Geiger Bond.
