Neon floral skirt … Easter weekend ready.
If you’re heading out to an Easter function this weekend, you can’t go far wrong in the spring ready stakes than a neon floral skirt. Not only are you nailing the zesty brights trend, but you also have floral appliqué covered. I saw this Karen Millen beauty in the flesh at the Spring 14 press day and had it on my hit list instantaneously.
The added bonus about this little neon floral skirt is that is has a touch of the sheer layers about it. If you’ve had your eye on the catwalks for spring, you will have clocked a number of sheer layered items which have the genius effect of appearing all diaphanous and gauzy without the fear of flashing too much flesh thanks to the layering.
Neon floral skirt … how to wear it.
For me the neon floral skirts, or any floral skirts work best with an understated pairing. I’ve put this Karen Millen one together with this delicious Ted Baker bouclé biker jacket. A simple but classic cashmere v-neck from Harrods works well to ground the look into an every day option.
The zesty bright of the skirt plays off nicely against natural tan leathers which are around right now. I love these low block-heeled sandals from Sam Edelman … definitely a worker in your wardrobe this spring. I also love the chic update of this Cambridge Satchel in the form of a clutch. Throw on some bling from J.Crew and a warm scarf from Chan Luu to keep the unpredictable April weather at bay, and all you’re missing is your Easter bonnet!
