Summer jumpsuits – vacay winners.
If you haven’t fallen for jumpsuits yet, then this summer is the right time to take the plunge. I’ve touched on the joys of the jumpsuit earlier this season when I was extolling the virtues of being able to pull one of these cuties on and not worry about middle-aged muffin top. But come the summer there are so many light flowy jumpsuits to choose from that it seems a no-brainer not to snap one up and pop it in your vacay packing.
The key to nailing the look in a summer jumpsuit is to get your fabric choices right. Think lightweight seasonal options like linen, cotton, gingham and seersucker. Silks also work a treat but cost a pretty penny so if you are shopping around the high street look for manmade fabrics which give you a lightweight silk feel but don’t break the bank.
Mango jumpsuit… similar here, bon bon earrings from Etsy, Rejina Pyo sunnies… similar here.
I’m also a fan of a wrap effect summer jumpsuit. If you snag the right size (i.e. maybe think about sizing up for comfort around the midriff) the very fact that the wrap effect is creating a cinched waistline for your silhouette means you start looking a little slimmer from the get-go.
If you’re not sure which body shape you might have pop over to our Start Here page for some more info, or catch our earlier post on the joys of a jumpsuit here.
