Notes From a Stylist … June best bits

Notes From a Stylist … what went on in June?

vintage tea party

I can’t believe it’s July already! Schools are busy breaking up and life is beginning to look a bit like I belong in the utility room next to the washing machine (note to self: teach teens to work the new washing machine) So on this hottest day of the year so far, in order to remind myself that we did actually have some fun over the past month before my laundry services went into overtime, here’s a few of our best bits from June.

First up Ellen got into blogging a bit more from Hong Kong which is fab, not only because it means I might get the odd day off… but also because she brings a whole new perspective to the blog both from her location and her uber cool Scandi background. Check out her trip to Monica Vinader here, and her report on fun store Square Street here.

teriyaki salmon

Amanda has been busy in the kitchen. We played with a spiralizer which was soooo much fun – take a look at the green chicken curry post hereI also loved this teriyaki salmon recipe and the easy roasted tomato & onion salad... all very summery. We also hosted a vintage tea party for my daughter and her friends at the end of the busy exam period… seriously fun… find out how we did it here.

interiors

We looked at easy interior switch ups to make your home ready for the warmer months here. But most of the fun was had gadding about finding a perfume for Amanda’s birthday at Le Labo in Liberty London, pinning down the perfect Ascot hat and then actually heading to the event.

We also attended Grange Park Opera heading down there in a Bentley no less, along with Masterpiece London and swooped into Matches Fashion townhouse No.23 to meet designer Rachel Comey on the same night… phew! I’m exhausted just thinking about it all.
